Ok I don't watch much Tamil movies which is sad since I'm a tamilian
But whatever movies I have seen so far depicting homosexuality , demeans it to such a pathetic state.
Some Vadivael joke in some movie where some really overly flamboyant (Gay) man just keeps bitng his lip and acts very perverted . and Vadivael looks at him and goes "Avana nee!???"
Then in the movie Vettaiyadu Villadu, the villains are apparently stated to be homosexuals.. Yet they also rape women, and escape from a mental hospital .
Only 2 movies portray the community in a decent light that I'm aware of
I remember watching a scene from this "Goa" where a believable homosexual relationship persists . It's cheesy but at least decent .
Kaanchana .. Yeah the sob story flashback instigates a sense of morality and sympathy towards transgendered people , so that's nice .
